Melanie Durham

Melanie Brooke Durham has dedicated her career to dance education, serving as a Dance Teacher for 29 years and a Dance Competition Judge for 14 years in the USA and Canada.  In 2005, she earned a Bachelor of Arts degree in Dance Performance and Composition from the University of California, Riverside.  In 2003, Melanie opened her first dance studio at the young age of 21 in Southern California.  After successfully running her studio, Melanie relocated with her family to Layton, Utah in 2016.  She is committed to advancing her dance education, holding certifications in AcroDance Adjudication with Acrobatic Arts, AAC1 Certification with Acrobatic Arts, Safety + Wellness with Youth Protection Advocates in Dance (YPAD), mUvmethod, and most recently, Tap Roots, among others. Melanie continues to teach refine choreography on a part-time basis, while being able to serve as a knowledgeable Dance Studio Consultant & Remote Admin Assistant for dance studios across the USA.  Melanie is a proud law enforcement wife and a mother of two children.  She is on the faculty at Ballet West Academy, the official school of Ballet West in Salt Lake City, Utah and on faculty at The School of Dance in Salt Lake City, Utah.
