Michelle "Mishi" McOmber
Mishi’s started dancing and performing ballet, tap, jazz & cheer leading at the age of three in Australia, then went on to dance for a company in Orlando, Florida where she expanded her range adding gymnastics, modeling, and hip hop. When her ohana moved home to Maui she started dancing for a halau and performing and competing in hula, Tahitian, and Māori dance styles. She went on to become a cheer leader while she attended St Anthony High School.
Mishi has a varied background in business, retail, and spa management. She also worked at a dance studio in San Francisco where she took hip hop, Afro-Haitian, & salsa classes.
Mishi has lived and traveled to every continent except Africa & Antarctica, but her roots run deep here on Maui. She is excited for the opportunity to be back in a dance studio and hopes to apply her skills to make everyone’s experience at Alexander Academy a positive one.
